Ali has over 17 years of experience as a creative leader, having led accounts like Pepsi, Toyota, Mondelez, MTV and Telenor. He began his career working on films with Oscar winning director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and later as a Director/Producer at MTV before cementing himself as a Creative Director at Saatchi&Saatchi and Ogilvy.
He studied Computer Science and Film and TV Production at the University of Southern California before deciding to focus his efforts on an emerging South Asian market where he eventually moved from films and television to advertising.
